A Christian and Atheist Meet at LSU.
It was the first day of Media Writing at LSU. I remember looking around the class and noticing I was one of three guys in the midst of 30 girls. Then, I knew, my chances were high to find a special girl in college.
We were awkwardly put in a project together, thanks Professor Dill, and Kayla's first perception of me was that I was a little ‘want to be thug’ because I wore a hoodie and blasted Lil Wayne while not talking to anyone.
After a few school-related text messages, we agreed to study together in the library. I originally blew me off Kayla five times, but we eventually met up. Kayla talked for four hours — I barely got in a word — but I knew something was different!
But, we never anticipated what happened next.
We grew up differently. We believed differently, but we met in college and everything changed. We fell in love, got married, and have decided to live a life pursuing Jesus and leading within the local church.
We would love nothing more than to connect with you! Whether it's to share a comment or question about our blog, or to talk deeper about church structure and leadership, we just love connecting.
